As a senior woman, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lunuganga Estate in Bentota. The attention to detail in the hotel's decoration and design by the talented Geoffrey Bawa impressed me greatly. The main bungalow and outdoor areas were beautifully maintained, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere for relaxation.
If I had to suggest an improvement for a better vacation experience for senior guests, I would appreciate more assistance from the staff in terms of guidance and recommendations for exploring the local area. While the children working there were helpful in many ways, having a more comprehensive understanding of nearby attractions and activities would have been beneficial.

The staff here were very helpful and didn't charge for the wake-up service or ironing; they also upgraded us to a double room upon arrival, which we really liked.

A magical property with a splendid ambiance. The staff is wonderful and the estate is great. Visit here to live inside a biography of a genius architect.
Oh, who cares about management, service, and cleanliness? Let's just let this historical monument fall into disarray.

The Lunuganga Estate was a perfect place for a senior woman like myself to stay and indulge in art and history. The decoration of the hotel and its general areas were absolutely lovely. I especially enjoyed the antique-filled room, which allowed me to live in the design of Geoffrey Bawa himself. The accessibility of the hotel was also excellent, making it easy for me to move around and explore the beautiful Lunuganga garden.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the hotel staff to be more attentive and considerate. Sometimes, the children working there seemed a bit busy and didn't provide the level of care and assistance I would have hoped for.

Nestled in the midst of lush greenery and natural beauty, this hotel is a treat for nature lovers. the rooms are well-designed and the bathroom is worth appreciating. Guests can enjoy Sri Lankan delicacies for breakfast and dinner. the staff is knowledgeable about the history of the estate and goes out of their way to make guests feel welcome.
The lack of modern facilities may disappoint those who are used to more polished and professional management.

We had the opportunity to stay at a luxurious hotel that combined design and nature perfectly. the venue provided exclusive amenities that fulfilled all our needs. the outdoor swimming pool was surrounded by a beautiful garden area with sun loungers, perfect for relaxation. the hotel had a leisure room, a restaurant, a bar/lounge area, and served delicious packed lunches and special diet menus.
There was a minor issue with the service that could be improved. the private facilities were not always cleaned as thoroughly as we expected.
